Water Moccasin

Agkistrodon piscivorus

Description:

It can be brown, black, or olive in color. They have bands around them and fading w/ age. Their tip of their tails will be colored and turning to a solid color as the age. Their head is triangular shaped; and their eyes are slanted.

Habitat:

Spotted along the bank of a creek in a nature preserve apparently absorbing sun inn the mid morning as people walked along the boardwalk/bridge going over the creek. The area on both sides of the creek was FL wetlands.
