This was a nice first spotting - a belated welcome to Project Noah! Could you please edit your spotting to put Mallard Duck as the common name and Anas platyrhynchos as the scientific name? Thanks!

These are definitely Mallard Ducks as Reza suggests. What is interesting here is that there is a definite Hawaiian Duck population which is the hybrid of the Mallard Duck and almost another species but not quite there yet.
