Description:

This semi-aquatic snake can be identified by their muscular bodies and their triangular shaped heads. The cotton mouth snake comes in color varieties of banded brown, yellow, and dark brown to olive.

Habitat:

Can be found in the Southeast of the United States. Within this area, you will find them around swamps, ditches, marshes, and ponds.

Beautiful snakes. I believe you have images of a species of water snake. I think it looks closest to the Diamond-backed Water Snake (Nerodia rhombifer).
