I thought it was a Red Brocket Deer, but apparently, these only live in Soutern-America...
Hi deepskywim! Costa Rica has the Central American red brocket, Mazama temama. It is currently being disputed weather this is a true species or a subspecies of Mazama americana (see reference). Costa Rica also has the white-tailed deer, Odocoileus virginianus.
