Longleaf Spiderwort

Tradescantia roseolens

Description:

Based on the very long blade-like leaves and red strips on teh edges, I now believe this is Longleaf Spiderwort (Tradescantia roseolens .) I was not able to find much info on this plant, but one source suggests that it is critically imperiled. (My apologies for the poor picture quality - the plant was growing above head height and I had to stand on a slippery wet rock and guess at aiming the camera.)

Habitat:

Spotted growing on a protected hillside
