Artocarpus heterophyllus
This baby jackfruit was a picturesque sight to behold. Growing off of a 20-foot-tall jackfruit tree, the young fruit was just beginning to ripen. The coat of the fruit was covered in 5 millimeter long oblong pointed things that might or might not be seeds. The tree had extremely smooth branches.
This was found during a mostly dry part of the year, in a secondary rainforest on a sunny day in Singapore, near my school. It was given partial shade by medium-size trees above it
It had a mutualistic symbiotic relationship with ants, who were seen scurrying around the tree and carrying off the oblong things, some of which they ate and some of which they left to grow.

Only a scientist could describe a jackfruit in such high regard! How great has it been to see your activity in this mission! I am really starting to see your secret super power--science writing!!!
Keep it up!
