Blue Wax Flower

Psychotria urbaniana

Description:

small white flowers, light purple bracts

Habitat:

variety of forest habits but mostly wetter forest

Notes:

This flower can be fairly common in some forests. It's one of the only plants I saw blooming in the forest. I have the exact species somewhere in my photos or notes, just have to find it.

The common name of some Pyschotria is wax flower. I've used that here now until I find the right species and common name. I've added a photo of the striking blue fruit.

This brings back memories - I used to call it "wax flower" as I didn't know the proper name
