I just added three photos to this spotting: (Photo 2) tree bark; (Photo 3) branching pattern; and (Photo 4) tree height. A friend thinks this may be an older Red Maple (Acer rubrum). Any second opinions? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acer_rubrum...
