Tent Spider Babies

cyrtophora unicolor

Description:

I could tell that these were tent spider babies because the web shape was like a tent spider's web. It was obviously not an orb web. The spider babies were brown in color and I suspect that they were a bit transparent since they were young. There were so many of them! I couldn't even estimate how many there were. Each one was about 2-3 mm.

Habitat:

I found these little ones in a secondary rainforest in Singapore.
