Micropterus salmoides
This particular bass weighed about 3 lbs at about 14 inches.
This fish was caught along the upper Chesapeake Bay in a small inlet. The water is considered fresh in the upper Chesapeake.
Largemouth bass are common in lakes, ponds, and rivers with brackish to fresh water.
Hey they do have a large mouth! I noticed 'bucketmouth' which looks appropriate.
