Spotting

Description:

Small oblong beetle, not more than 1.5cm long. Deep redish brown colour with cream to yellow line around the outside of the body with three large spots across the back. Underbody is also redish brown, as well as legs and short antennae.

Habitat:

seen on rural buildings on the edge of rain forest.

Notes:

This one was quite high up, and at first I thought he was some kind of giant tick, the body shape is very unusual with this hunched over sort of look and the head and face tucked in underneath.

Yeah, I've noticed that the more effort I put into these, the more I get out of them, in terms of learning new and fascinating stuff. Life's a blast!

Hi Irene, Thanks! that is so kind.I am loving all your varied spottings and their stories as well. I like the night shot of the tarantula, lots of effort, paid off totally.
