zingiber spectabile
This ginger plant is about 3.5 meters tall and were growing in clusters. It is red in color and when looked closely, they were small spirals on the plant. The plant was rough in texture.
This ginger plant was located in a secondary rain forest of Singapore. It was spotted at 12:39 pm and was in a shady area near a palm oil tree. The soil happened to be a bit dry and not a lot of sunlight came through because of the huge, towering leaves of the palm oil.
Some bees and flies landed on the ginger plant making me think that they were pollinating.
