Chinese Preying Mantis hatchlings

Description:

We spotted the egg case September 22, 2015 and we kept watch until the hatched on a warm day November 5, 2015. These pictures were taken as they hatched so these are the first instar nymphs. It is late January and another egg case laid close to this one has not hatched.

Habitat:

urban schoolyard garden on Confederate Jasmine vine
