Philippine Long-Tailed Macaque

Description:

Per some initial personal research done, the Philippine Long-Tailed Macaque is a subspecies of the Crab-Eating Macaque that is found across Philippine forests. They are fairly small in size, and tend to sport reddish-brown colours. These group of monkeys are also not viewed as under threat, though hunting is a potential issue.

Habitat:

The macaques in the photo were found alongside a fairly isolated road approximately within the area of Palay National Park in the Philippine province of Batangas. The specific location of the road portion with the monkeys in question was in a dense foresty position, where about two dozen of them sat roadside as they watched vehicles pass by.
