Zeale nigromaculata

Zeale nigromaculata

Description:

A Coleoptera insect that belong to the Family Cerambycidae. Ten to 15 mm in lenght and with a remarkable pair of antenne. It could be found with this colour, yellow, or white. The name in latin nigromaculata could be translated as "black dotted" so it is easy to remember the name. I followed it by several meters before stopped flying at no more than 50 cm from the soil.

Habitat:

This time I caught this picture in Vicente Lopez Natural Reserve. This is 7 Km southern the San Isidro Reserve and share the same Ecosystem. It is a relictual forest related to the shore of the Paraná River and Delta of Paraná. There is a pond connected to the River by a stream. Almost all the surface is under tidal influence.
