Hammerhead worm attacking a common earthworm on a mountainside track
"When captured, earthworms will begin to react to the attack, but a flatworm uses the muscles in its body as well as sticky secretions to attach itself to the earthworm to prevent escape. Several studies have indicated that the planarians will cover, or cap the prostomium, peristomium and anterior end to stop the violent reaction by the earthworm" - Wiki

I know Hema ... it was horrid watching it writhe. I've been in Thailand 15 years never spotted a hammerhead worm until a month ago, Then I spot two, in two different locations, in the space of 3 weeks, both local to where I live and walk all the time
I really feel bad for the earthworm! The hammerhead is going to suck it dry!
