Description:

this was a brightly colored juvenile a little over 1 foot long but it gets large & heavy-bodied; this one was reddish and brown; The front section of the body was crossbanded, but on the middle and posterior portions of the body, the crossbands break up into three alternating rows of blotches.

Habitat:

urban yard

Notes:

the was found in a new development; probably run out of its habitat, maybe came from a nearby retention pond
