Spotting

Description:

Violet and about an inch and a half long. It appeared to be a slug or worm of some sort. When I picked it up, it rolled itself into the ball of goo that you can see in the second picture.

Habitat:

Saltwater, tide pool.

Notes:

I was rolling rocks on the beach in a tide pool and came across several interesting little critters including this one.
