Arrowshaped Micrathena Spider

Micrathena sagittata

Description:

A very beautiful spider with two long tail horns and two upward spines on the front of the abdomen. This spider was busy wrapping its prey in silk. The dorsal and ventral sides of the spider are quite differently patterned. The webs of these species are usually in disrepair. Family Araneidae.

Habitat:

Forest, Chorreadero Park, Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.
