Commelina sp.
Small, two-petaled lavender flower on the forest floor. Another variety (or species?) with bright blue petals was spotted on the Gulf Coast of the State of Campeche, Mexico in February 2015 (http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/156...).
Forest, Chorreadero Park, Chiapa de Corzo, Chiapas, Mexico.

Thank you Mark and Thomas, Dayflower it does seem to be :)
Commelinaceae for sure, but I doubt it is a Tradescantia species. Looks much more like a dayflower (Commelina sp.)
It would need 3 petals though. Could one be diminished or missing here?
Not sure. There is certainly much Tradescantia in Mexico and your leaves look right.
This must be a Spiderwort too?
Sweet. So similar to Christiane's yesterday. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/202...
