A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
UPDATE - added a couple more shots - sideview...hopes this helps some identify this! Haven't been able to identify it - I've attached a closeup which better shows the markings and the yellow at the one end. It was about 2-1/2 inches long.
Found on a Rose of Sharon next to our house

Thank you for trying...I've been searching everywhere and can't find a picture of one that looks like this.
I'm sorry, even with new search parameter I still get the same pics when searching google, I'm afraid I can't help you. But perhaps if LaurenZarate spots this, she might be able to help you in some way, she's an entomologist.
Tried, but failed, can't find out what it is myself either :/
And it's useful for others that try to identify it that they know the aproximate size and color and any spesific patterns or some thing special that you notice about the spotting.
Do you have more photos of this spotting, like closer and from the side maybe? I'm no expert, but I'll give it my best shot :)
