Woodland Orb Weaver

Neoscona crucifera

Description:

Also sometimes called a Barn Spider. Spins webs about 2' in diameter, and can be found in sheltered structures near woodlands. The abdomen can have a variety of patterns, but the striped legs and spots on the underside are a good indication of species.

Habitat:

Woodlands, quiet buildings and lofts, anywhere reasonably quiet that can support their large web.

Notes:

Isn't she beautiful? :) I wish I could have gotten a good shot of her web. It was amazing!
