Saguinus fuscicollis
This is a very shy monkey from the Ecuadorian Amazon. Don't even have a clue about the specie. Very hard to take a picture of it.
Amazon rainforest.
Hello bayucca. I just came back from the Sumaco National Park and saw your comments. Unfortunately the monkey is so timid that scaped as soon as he noted our presence. But checking the possible species from the zone, I think it is Saguinus fusicollis. Thanks for the ID.
Here you have a nice collection of Saguinus:

Not an easy one! I think it is Saguinus sp. and most probably Saguinus fusicollis. There are many different subspecies in the Amazonian area. Other candidate would be Saguinus tripartitus, which looks similar and is sometimes considered being a subspecies from Saguinus. Fusicollis is much more common than Tripartitus. I see a brown coat and the color of the legs in not clearly visible. Do you have another picture of this one?
