•They eat rodents, fish, crustaceans, amphibians and birds. •Mink dens consist of burrows in river banks, holes under logs, tree stumps, roots or hollow trees, though dens located in rock crevices, drains and nooks under stone piles and bridges are occasionally selected. •They nest in burrows dug previously by muskrats, badgers and skunks, they also dig in old ant hills.
