White-crowned Hornbill

Berenicornis comatus

Description:

Black Body with top hair like feathers are white face light blue with thick black beak, tail feather is short and white colored, feet are grey brown.

Habitat:

Maybe tropical bird, origin unknown...

Notes:

I seen this bird at some Buddhist temple and according to them the bird flew into a ceiling fan and permanately broke his wing so they adopted him, they had him for 6 years..They don't know the name of this bird, it seems the only one ever seen here... I visit the temple a few times and i think the bird must died i dont see him anymore, only a monkey replaced his place in the cage. Name unknown...I tried looking it up with no luck.

This is a female White-crowned Hornbill. The males are white underneath.
