Approximately 1cm long x 0.5 cm wide if I recall correctly. Intricate pattern on back.
Found in my flower beds.

Thanks Mark, narrowed it down after hours of sorting through species lists.
This one looks like a capsid bug (?Miridae) but there's so many :)
