Bucovina Shepherd Dog

Canis lupus familiaris

Description:

This Ciobanesc (Shepherd Dog) is originated in The Carpathian Mountains of Romania. It is a very similar breed to The Caine Ciobanesc de Bucovina (Bucovina Shepherd Dog) Colors can vary from Black to clear beige with patches of black/grey, but the main color is usually all clear white. Their fur is usually extremely matted from lack of grooming and ticks can show on the legs. They hare big in size varying from 23-29 inches tall depending on the sex. They have strong legs, adequate enough to walk miles and miles without stopping and a deep powerful bark for scaring off strangers in its territory. They have a symbiotic relationship with fleas; Parasitism. Fleas benefit by getting food by sucking the dogs blood while it itches and has fleas stuck all on it. Another relation is with their owners; Mutualism. Owners benefit by having a protective guard dog to take care of them and their sheep as well as the dog benefiting from having a lot of space to run for their general health and happiness. This Ciobanesc reproduces by sexual reproduction. Much like the standars Shepherd dog, the females ovaries begin to develop and estrogen levels rise resulting in attraction to other male dogs. Male sperm can live up to 10-11 days

Habitat:

-The Caine Ciobanesc that I've seen wore a necklace that has a stick at the end to make noise, helping them herd their flock - These dogs are extremely calm and respectful. They'll come up for you to pet them no problem. - Wild Carpathian Dogs live usually in the mountains while others in a big space where they can run freely depending on where their master lives. -They eat what the standard dog can eat, but much more and a lot of meat that get them strong and healthy. -Nothing really preys on this dog except for a wild animal like a bear or a wild wolf
