A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Harmonia axyridis
A small coccinellid beetle about 5.5mm-8.5 in size. Round dome shape and in various colors and spots. This variety has 19 spots with a white "M" shape on its black pronotum. Though, I think it looks more like two baby teeth.
Wide spread through the globe. Found in gardens, eves of houses on plants to name a few locations. They are voracious eaters of aphids which is why many gardeners love them. They generally gather in the Autumn and go dormant during the winter.
