feathery antenna similar body shape to that of a mosquito. can be grey, black, yellow, white, or brown. 6 legs and wings are shorter than the abdomen.

Habitat:

located around bodies of water such as rivers, lakes, coast lines, and ponds.

Notes:

they have a short life span (only a few days) and do not eat blood like mosquitoes do.
