Flat-faced Longhorn Beetle

Oberea sp.

Description:

I originally thought that this beetle was a Branch Pruner Beetle, maybe Psyrassa sp., but I have received an ID suggestion from arne.roysland and now I can say with much more confidence that this is Oberea sp. (Cerambycidae; Cerambycinae;Callidiopini).

Habitat:

Spotted in front garden, resting on foliage.

Notes:

This beetle was in my garden again this morning (Jul 29, 2022). So I took some more pictures and added them.

Good Morning Arne, thank you for your species ID suggestion. I will update my spotting as soon as I can. I hope one of these days I can return the favour by helping you with an ID, but in the meantime, I can only say Thank You. John B.
