Yellowbells, Yellow Fritillary, Yellow Missionbells, Gold Bell

Description:

Fritillaria pudica blossoms are nodding, bell-shaped, and yellow. The tepals usually turn orangish with age, and sometimes, as in this example, will have a red-orange coloring at the base of the tepals.

Habitat:

East facing slope above the Boulder Hot Springs building. Dry soil.

Notes:

Fritillaria pudica usually has only a single blossom per plant, although it will occasionally have two and may rarely have a 3rd.
