Water Strider

Description:

Widespread carnivorous insect with a long thin body and six legs, of which the four longest help it to move across water. One black stripe on the end of it's body. Was hopping on leaves with droplets of water.

Habitat:

Forest. Mostly plants with little droplets on them.

Sadly, this is a wrong ID. Water striders live in creek and pond environments. This one doesn't match the rainforest. It is an insect that you might have seen from other things! Come check out the cricket/grasshopper/katydid field guide!
