Description:

Several fossilized European flat oysters were spotted and photographed inside the ruins of a Roman house and tavern, in Pefkakia area, Volos city Greece. The species still exists in the area, alongside spondylus gaederopus and Pinctada radiata bivalve mollusks, and several other marine species.
