Such an interesting plant. It's actually a gymnosperm that bears cones, like LakesideScott mentioned.

I saw a picture where cones were "sprouting" from the base ring. Very interesting. I wonder if they will ever develop here.

Great spot of an amazing plant, happy to see it thriving outside it natural habitat which is a very limited area in Namibia
