Trillium Erectum
3-petalled flowers above whorls of pointed triple leaves. The flowers are a deep red color, though there is a white form known as the Pacific Trillium.
Forests
Trilliums take a total of 5 years to produce a flower so it is safe to say that the plant I found is around 5-7 years old. The Trillium is also endangered due to how desired it is by deer and because it takes so long to make a flower it can't reproduce fast enough to keep up with it's depleting numbers.
