Arctornis sp.
Erebidae; Lymantriinae; Arctornithini; Arctornis sp. This moth, as you can see, is almost completely transparent and if you look in https://philepidoptera.wixsite.com/moths... there is an Arctornis sp. which is an exact match for this one. Don't be misled by the 4 or 5 tiny brownish specs on the right side Fore and Hind Wings. That is just some detritus from the Mahogany leaf. If you zoom in to the Antennae on the first picture, you will just be able to see that they are plumose. So it may be a male."In moths, males frequently have antennae which are more feathery than those of the females, for detecting the female pheromones at a distance" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/External_m...
This delicate little moth was spotted on the underside of a leaf on a Mahogany Tree in our backyard where it was sheltering from a heavy rain shower.
