White Tailed Deer

Odocoileus virginianus

Description:

Snow still very deep in the trees yet on this date. Few buds and not much forage for deer. Deer are wear, emaciated looking in some cases and using roads simply because it is easier to move around and too weak to take on the deep snow. Spring can't come to soon.
