Pellaea atropurpurea
Triangular leaf with purplish-black stem. Leaflets relatively few and large, long oval to blunt triangular. Sterile fronds have broader leaflets than fertile fronds. Widely distributed in the U.S. but uncommon.
A colony of these ferns are growing out of a limestone cliff above Belton Lake.
