A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Biggest eye on Project Noah ;-)
And still no ID completed! Please, fill in the names in the corresponding fields. Thanks!
Also removed it from the Primate Watch mission as per Scott Fraser's comment of 4 weeks ago! Thanks!
Also since you now know the ID for your spotting, please update with common name and scientific name so that your spotting will be complete. Thanks!
Hi Juen! I removed your cute spotting from the Signs of Wildlife mission as it does not fit there! Thanks!
Hi there! If an animal is present it is not a "sign", it is the real thing! Please remove your spotting from the Signs of Wildlife mission. Thanks. Jika satwa terlihat dalam foto spotting, berarti spotting bukan "sign" (tanda) dari satwa tersebut. Harap di keluarkan spotting anda dari misi "Signs of Wildlife". Terima kasih
Moved to the mammals category but please note this is not a primate so please remove it from that mission. The suggested species is widespread and was rated as "least concern" in terms of threat by IUCN in 2008, when the trend was considered stable. Locally it may now have some pressure as indicated in bayucca's comment, but I don't know if this coffee threat is across its entire range ( http://maps.iucnredlist.org/map.html?id=... ) or not. In Indonesia it has been introduced to many of its islands to the east (including supposedly to Papua ["Irian Jaya"], but I've never seen one here!).
Looks like being the Asian Palm Civet, maybe a youngster?
Please, verify!
