Description:

Dark purple flowers growing in a tight bunch on top of long, erect stems. The lower ones have a ring of white teeth and are fertile. The topmost flowers are smaller, lighter blue and sterile.

Habitat:

Found in steppe and garigue.

Notes:

Maltese name: Basal il-Hniezer
