Mourning Cloak

Nymphalis antiopa

Notes:

We found the caterpillar on the rocks at the river on April 9th. We were a little afraid to touch him though. We brought him home and 2 days later he formed his chrysalis. He emerged on April 24th. We mixed sugar water and put it on a paper towel for him to drink before letting him go.
