Fulgorid Bug

Description:

Pink and brown Fulgorid with clear wings, 1.5 cm long. The sucking mouthparts are extremely long, reaching almost to the end of the abdomen (4th picture). The last two pictures were taken on 7 July 2015 at an ultraviolet light in the same place. Family Fulgoridae, Poiocerinae.

Habitat:

Garden, semi-urban area on the outskirts, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2.200 meters.
