Grey Squirrel

Sciurus carolinensis

Description:

A very busy squirrel seen foraging for food and looks like it found a buried nut in the first photo. As cute as they are they are an invasive species to the UK and have severely reduced our native red squirrel numbers and forced them in to small pockets of protected forest.

Habitat:

Seen in Grenoside woods, Sheffield.
