A worldwide community photographing and learning about wildlife
Oxybelis aeneus
Fun fact! Vine snakes have binocular vision as humans do, meaning that both eyes focus on the same point unlike most other species of snake whose eyes function independently of each other. This gives them an advantage in searching for prey among the leaf litter and branches of trees, as they are able to determine shape more readily than other snakes, which usually rely on discerning movement to hunt.
