Belonogaster wasp

Belonogaster sp.

Description:

Not sure whether this Belonogaster wasp was imbibing liquid for itself or for its larvae in one of the countless nests (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dotun55/940...) located in the public building nearby. The wasps visit this small stream only when its water is diminished and the stream bed is visible.

Habitat:

Nests built in human housings and very shallow streams or waterlogged soils for water.
