hummingbird

Description:

I took this picture in January 2011. It had just rained so I went exploring in my grandmother's back yard. My grandma had a humming bird feeder hanging from her tree. So when I came and looked in the tree these hummingbirds had there little tiny nest.

Habitat:

I have been searching around and I believe these are Black-Chinned Humming Birds. The hummingbirds were there for a while, and their little nest many times seemed like it was going to fall out of the tree. then in summer we found the nest on the ground below the tree.

Notes:

This picture is Zoe Amador's. Period 2 Biology

That is an amazing picture! I can't believe you were able to get such a great close-up of such tiny birds. Good job at describing the setting too (the rain).
