Veronica anagallis-aquatica
Prostrate stems with upright tips. Stems often branched many times, rooting at nodes. The bright green, hairless, toothed (or not), elliptic to ovate in shape leaves are 1–3 in long, oval, with pointed tips. Flowers pale lavender, in short spikes from leaf axil. The individual flowers are 1/4 inch wide and have 4 purple-streaked lobes with white at the base. Does not grow very well when out of water.
Grows in wet meadows and watercourses.
