Black-winged Stilt

Himantopus himantopus

Description:

black wings, white body and pink and thin long legs. feeding on insects found around water body.

Habitat:

found near water bodies.

Notes:

found this unusually tall bird near a water body about 12 kms outskirts of city. the reason of using unusually tall because, compared to its body dimensions, the legs were very slim and long...and the second attention drawing feature was the body is black and white, but this legs are bright pink in colour.
