Acanthus mollis

Description:

Herbaceous perennial with tall spikes of hooded, tubular white and purplish flowers and large glossy leaves. The erect stalks can reach over 1 meter and the leave stalks usually bend down and lie onto the ground.

Habitat:

Found in maquis and valleys. Occasional garden escape or discard.
