Datura - vespertine sp - Solanaceae family
Herbacious, leafy annual which reaches up to 2m in height. Trumpet shaped flower. Datura is a classic "witches weed" along with Deadly nightshade, henbane and mandrake. most parts of the plant contains toxic hallucinogens and has a long history of causing delirious states and death. It was well known as an essential ingredient in love potions and witches brews.
